Italian is Beautiful, German is Ugly

Certain languages seem to be more pleasing to listen to than others. French is romantic, Italian is elegant, German is ugly and Arabic is harsh. We all have our own favorite-sounding language and dialects. The views about the beauty and ugliness of languages and dialects are built on cultural norms, pressures and social meaning. Because we associate Germany with Hitler and war a lot of people don’t like the language, the same is for the beauty of a language. French we think of romance, so a lot of people see this as a beautiful language.
